ATP: The Energy Behind Everything Your Body Does
From getting through an ordinary afternoon to pushing through a demanding workout, every cell depends on this essential energy molecule.
What Is ATP?
ATP stands for adenosine triphosphate. Simply put, it is the usable form of energy that powers nearly everything your body does.
Food provides the raw materials, but your cells cannot use a meal directly to contract a muscle, send a nerve signal, or carry you through a demanding day. Those nutrients must first be converted into ATP.
Every step you take, thought you process, and muscle you move requires it. Because the body stores only a small amount at a time, your cells must continually produce and recycle ATP throughout the day.
That’s why ATP sits at the center of natural energy. It isn’t a feeling or a rush of stimulation. It is the energy your cells actually use to perform work.

“I use Cordyceps every morning. I find it helps with my energy level and lets me do more than I was doing before I started to use.”
How Cordyceps Supports ATP Production
Cordyceps has been associated with energy and stamina for centuries. Modern research is beginning to explain why.
Studies suggest that compounds found in Cordyceps may support pathways involved in producing ATP. Rather than supplying an instant burst of energy, Cordyceps works with the natural processes your cells already use to convert fuel into a usable form.
This matters because your body must continually replenish ATP throughout the day. Supporting that process may help maintain more consistent energy, stamina, and physical performance—from getting through an ordinary afternoon to completing a demanding workout.
Cordyceps doesn’t force your body into overdrive. It supports the energy system already working inside you.

“Cordyceps seems to help me maintain a consistent level of energy through the day. I take it every morning and can tell the difference when I miss a dose.
What Scientists Actually Measured
In a 2020 animal study, mice were given a Cordyceps militaris fruiting-body extract daily for 12 weeks. Instead of relying on whether the animals simply appeared more energetic, researchers measured grip strength, ATP, and several markers involved in cellular energy production.
All three Cordyceps groups showed significantly higher levels of AMPK—an energy-sensing enzyme that helps the body respond when ATP is being depleted. ATP and other energy-related markers also increased compared with the control group, although not every increase reached statistical significance across every dose.
By weeks 11 and 12, the Cordyceps groups also produced approximately 10 additional grams of force during grip-strength testing.
Researchers concluded that Cordyceps appeared to influence ATP-generation pathways rather than simply reducing markers of muscle fatigue.

Why ATP Feels Different From Caffeine
CAFFEINE
Caffeine
Occupies adenosine receptors
Tiredness signals are temporarily reduced
You feel more awake
Changes how tired you feel
ATP
Food + oxygen
Cells continually produce ATP
CORDYCEPS supports pathways involved in ATP production.
ATP provides usable cellular energy
Your body performs work
Powers what your body does
One changes how tired you feel. The other is the energy your cells actually use.

How We Make Our Cordyceps Extract—and Why It Matters
A Cordyceps extract is only as good as the mushroom and process behind it. That’s why we keep every step close to home—from sourcing the fruiting bodies to placing the finished extract in the bottle.
Sourced in Northeastern Pennsylvania
Our USDA Organic Cordyceps is sourced from cultivators here in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Working close to home gives us greater visibility into how the mushrooms are grown and what goes into every batch.
Fruiting Bodies Only
We use the actual Cordyceps fruiting body, where the mushroom’s naturally occurring compounds are concentrated. No myceliated grain. No oats or brown rice added as filler. Just the part of the mushroom we set out to extract.
Dual-Extracted In-House
We slowly extract our Cordyceps using alcohol and wild Pennsylvania spring water. Each method captures different groups of compounds, creating a more complete liquid extract than either process could produce alone.
By sourcing locally and extracting everything ourselves, we maintain control over the quality, potency, and consistency of every bottle.
How to Add Cordyceps to Your Daily Routine
Cordyceps doesn’t require you to completely change your morning routine. Most people take it at the beginning of the day or before a period of increased physical activity.
For Everyday Energy
Add one dropper to your morning coffee, tea, water, or another favorite beverage. You can also take it directly under the tongue like a traditional tincture.
Before Physical Activity
Take one dropper before a workout, hike, or physically demanding part of your day to support natural energy and stamina.
Use It Consistently
Cordyceps may not create the immediate rush associated with caffeine or energy drinks. Use it daily and pay attention to patterns in your afternoon energy, activity level, and physical performance over time.
What to Expect, Honestly
Cordyceps doesn’t work like caffeine or an energy drink, so you may not feel an immediate rush. For many people, the difference becomes noticeable through what they are able to do and how consistently they can do it.
Days 1-7
Some people notice a subtle lift in their morning energy or physical activity within the first few uses. For others, the first week feels less like a sudden surge and more like a gradual shift toward steadier, more dependable energy.
Week 2
You may begin noticing more consistency—less fading during the afternoon, greater willingness to remain active, or more stamina during familiar workouts and activities.
Week 4
The clearest difference may appear when you compare repeatable parts of your routine. Look at your afternoons, workouts, walks, and physically demanding days. Cordyceps is often better measured through these patterns than through one dramatic moment.

Honest answers to the questions you'd ask
Is Cordyceps a stimulant?
No. Cordyceps does not contain caffeine and does not work by stimulating the nervous system. Its potential benefit is connected to supporting cellular-energy pathways rather than creating an artificial rush.
Can I take Cordyceps with coffee?
Yes. Cordyceps and caffeine work differently, so many people add Cordyceps directly to their morning coffee. Caffeine supports alertness, while Cordyceps may support the natural pathways involved in producing cellular energy.
When should I take Cordyceps?
We recommend taking it during the morning or before a workout, hike, or physically demanding part of your day. Because Cordyceps supports energy, most people prefer not to take it close to bedtime.
How should I take it?
Take half a dropper directly under your tongue, hold for five seconds, swish for another five seconds, and swallow. You can also add one full dropper to coffee, tea, a smoothie, or another favorite beverage.
Should I take it every day?
Cordyceps is best incorporated into a consistent daily routine. Regular use also makes it easier to recognize patterns in your afternoon energy, activity level, and physical performance.
How quickly should I expect to notice a difference?
Some people notice a subtle change within the first few uses. For others, the benefits become clearer after several weeks of consistent use. Look for steadier energy and greater capacity to remain active rather than an immediate stimulant-like rush.
Is Cordyceps only for athletes?
No. ATP powers ordinary daily activity as well as demanding exercise. Cordyceps can be used by anyone looking to support natural energy, stamina, and a more active lifestyle.
Why use a liquid Cordyceps extract?
Mushroom cell walls are naturally difficult for the body to break down. Our Cordyceps fruiting bodies are dual-extracted using alcohol and wild Pennsylvania spring water to capture different groups of compounds in an easy-to-use liquid form.
